S.A.D.

S.A.D. is an invitation into concentric circles – circles of different bodies, circles looking, holding, and transmuting together and alone. Pulling up, in, around, re-enacting the 60s, 70s, 90s, yesterday, carrying big objects, tributing sexy ancestors, and interrupting structure with boring feminist intervention.

We search for S.A.D., acknowledging that grief is inevitable and too damn big. It’s a participatory collective experience in which Selves Allow Differentiation, Search Another Dimension, Suck And Destroy, Soup And Dance, Scary Animals Dying. Instructions and frames of engagement are provided for your active viewing. S.A.D. is (not) a collaboration by Tove Sahlin, Winnie Ho, Joy Mariama Smith, and Hana van der Kolk using their (and each others) bodies and eventually some random and/ or specific words, video, action, installation, and participation.
